Pre-owned Rolex Sea-Dweller Deepsea ref 116660 (2017) was the first reference in the series. Introduced in 2008, the iconic dive watch brought with it an increased depth rating of up to 3,900 meters/12,800 feet. Previously, the highest water-resistance available in the brand’s catalog was the Sea-Dweller at 4,000 feet. Its incredible waterproofness, coupled with a contemporary and robust design, made the series an instant success among avid collectors. As a modern timepiece, the ref. 116660 utilizes a stunning ceramic bezel insert, a larger Maxi display on the dial, and a flat-link Oyster bracelet secured by a folding Oysterlock clasp. The case is also larger than traditional Rolex divers, measuring 44mm in diameter, and includes a Helium Escape Valve, a thicker 5mm sapphire crystal, and a Ring Command System, allowing it to withstand extreme depths and making it a highly prized collector’s item on the secondary market.
