Description: Rolex Daytona 16520 Black Dial
Pre-owned Rolex Daytona Ref 16520 (1994) chronograph with stopwatch functions, the Rolex Daytona is accompanied by standard seconds, minutes, and hour subdials as well as an engraved Tachymeter bezel. The Rolex 16520 for sale here was released in the early 1990s and utilizes a Zenith “El Primero” calibre 4030 self-winding movement. Modified by Rolex to include a new escapement and larger free sprung balance, a reduction to 28,800 BPH, and the removal of a date function, the calibre 4030 will perform to Rolex’s highest standards. The reference 16520 also introduced the scratch-resistant sapphire crystal and a larger 40mm Oyster case size to the Daytona line. The reference 16520 that is offered here today is an exceptional find, with all-steel Daytonas becoming increasingly difficult to procure.
